MEDICAL MISSIONS
AND CAMPS

SERVING HUMANITY WITH OPEN HEARTS.

START PLANNING

MAKING IT EASIER TO SERVE THE COMMUNITY IN
THE REMOTE AREAS OF PAKISTAN.

At Raah Travels, we believe that adventure should not only be about exploration, but also about service to the people who call these remote mountains home. Our founder, Mustafa, has personally witnessed the need for medical support in the villages of Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral, where hospitals lack facilities, equipment, and specialized expertise. During a recent initiative in Harchin, Solaspur (Upper Chitral), Mustafa helped document a medical camp led by a Scottish couple. In just a two days, more than 1,500 patients received eye check-ups, glasses were distributed, and surgeries were performed that helped restore vision and, in many cases, saved eyesight altogether. This experience further revealed how great the need is across both Upper and Lower Chitral, not only for visiting specialists but also for empowering passionate local graduates eager to volunteer for their communities.

Gilgit-Baltistan shares the same reality, with past camps in Hunza, Skardu, and surrounding villages highlighting the necessity of continued efforts. While NGOs and medical teams have set up camps here before, logistics have often been a challenge, sometimes supported by the Pakistan Army, and at other times requiring complete independent management. This is where Raah steps in. With our roots in the region, strong community connections, and expertise in travel and logistics, we ensure seamless handling of accommodations, equipment transport, local coordination, and volunteer integration. Beyond the camp itself, Raah also documents the entire mission in a cinematic storytelling style — allowing your efforts to inspire, reach, and create lasting impact far beyond the mountains. The Collaboration
The Medical Professionals + Local Volunteers + Raah — together, this is the equation that makes every camp possible. Doctors bring expertise, local volunteers bring community trust, and Raah brings the structure, logistics, and execution that holds it all together.

The Impact
Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral are home to nearly 3 million people combined, yet together they have only a handful of registered hospitals. Most are under-equipped and unable to provide specialized treatments or surgeries, leaving countless patients without the care they urgently need. This is where Raah steps in — becoming the bridge between international NGOs, medical professionals, and the communities waiting for help. By serving here, you are not just healing individuals; you are serving a greater purpose — giving back to humanity in places where hope often feels far away.
